Monday - Mandatory LUX 335 Lecture @ 18:45: It will be held across the street at the Differdange Cultural Center by John Tassoni. More details below!
Tuesday @ 12 - TB Test Readings: For those that got your TB tests this past Thursday, your reading will be held at the Château in Crici and Katie's offices at Noon.
Tuesday @ 13 - Hike the Trails: Join Katie on a hike through Differdange's "Grand Bois" on a path with a beautiful view of France!
Tuesday - "Football" aka Soccer Pick up Game @ 15: Interested in practicing your European "football" skills? For as long as the weather stays beautiful we'll have pick up games scheduled for anyone who'd like to join. For more information talk to Anna Davis or Katie... or you can just meet in the Foyer Tuesday at 15!
Wednesday @10 - Running Club: On a similar note, if anyone is interested in running the trails and the Differdange neighborhood, meet in the foyer Wednesday mornings at 10 to form a crew! Again, for more information see Anna Davis or Katie.
Wednesday @ 5 - Mandatory LUX 335 Community Engagement Meeting: For those of you going the community engagement route in LUX 335, there will be a mandatory visit to the local Red Cross this Wednesday at 5 pm. Professor Briot will meet you in the Grand Hall.

Thursday - Lottery Deadline for "Inside the Ivory Tower" Luncheon: Next Monday there is an incredible opportunity to dine with the Belgian Ambassador. Very select seats available for students! More information and lottery entry below.
Friday - Discovery Tour to "The Family of Man" Exhibit: Explore the beautiful town of Clervaux and experience the famous "The Family of Man" photography exhibit housed in the Clervaux Castle. More details and sign up below.
Friday - Residency Deadlines: By this Friday, you should have completed your physical and shown your invoice to Crici as well as have signed up for your TB Test Appointments. If you have not yet completed your physical, each morning between 8 and 9 am, Crici will have the available slots for that day in her office. You can only sign up during that 8 - 9 am window, so pick a day to come early! Thursday and Friday times will fill up, too, so if you can shoot for Monday - Wednesday!
Reminder: Professor Haag's courses are cancelled this week, make up dates will be shared by Professor Haag.

MUDEC Welcomes John Tassoni to the Château!
Join us for his lecture Monday at 18:45 Held at the Centre Culturel Régional « Aalt Stadhaus » Exploring Interculture: Possible Futures for the Global Miami Plan This lecture traces the history of how Miami developed a higher education curriculum to provide a global understanding of the world beyond specialized education. Dr. Tassoni pays particular attention to issues related to its Global Perspective requirement and explores their implications in the context of comprehensive internationalization. Miami’s former Director of Liberal Education, Dr. Tassoni, uses this history to suggest possible futures for global teaching and learning at Miami and asks participants to explore roles they might play in the construction and maintenance of a global university. |
