The Pianist: If you are in Professor Haag's HST 270 course, do not forget Monday night at 6:45 pm you will have a screening of The Pianist for your course credit!
Residency Permits - TB Tests: If you had your TB test last week, do not forget the follow-up test result check will be Tuesday during lunch in Crici & Katie's Offices at Noon! The rest of you have the first appointment this week - look for more details coming by email from Crici.
Volunteering at the Luxembourg Maison Relais: If you are in interested in volunteering with the Luxembourg after-care program, Dr. Susan Paulson will be taking a group to learn more about how to get involved Wednesday at 5 pm!
Residency Permits - Physicals: This Friday all physicals will need to have been completed and receipt showed to Crici! So if you have not yet gotten yours done, sign up for a day of appointment in the mornings in Crici's office, before Friday!
Smart Traveler: Stay safe while traveling! Make sure you register with the US Embassy's Smart Traveler Program to receive travel alerts, warnings, and latest information!
Construction on our Train Line: For the month of February, every night after 10:15 pm Sunday - Friday, there will be construction between the Belvel-Université stop and Rodange. In order to get to and from Differdange after that time, there will be a bus shuttle between the Differdange and Belvel-Université stops. The bus should be labeled "Line 60" and will pick up at the Differdange Arbed stop (just across the traffic circle). There is an online copy of the bus schedule here.
Student Kitchen: If you haven't already ventured in, the kitchen in the cave is there for your use! Feel free to use the refrigerators, plates, silverware, hot plates, and all other appliances... just be sure to clean anything you used!

Discovery Tour: Luxembourg City - Casemates & Chocolate House
This Friday's Discovery Tour will be a local one! We'll explore the fortress tunnels known as the Casemates with spectacular views of the city. And if you'd like, followed by a visit to the Chocolate House, located across from the Grand Ducal Palace (photos below). You are free to continue your weekend after the Casemates (2:30/3ish) or Chocolate House (3:30/4ish) from the Luxembourg train station. | |
Interested in Hiking/Running Paths?
There are miles and miles of old mine trails that are great hiking and running paths that are right in our backyard! If you're interested in learning the routes, Katie will show a few of the trails (different ones each day). Tuesday at 10:30 am and Wednesday at 1 pm *Sign ups will help give a day of headcount, but feel free to join even if you haven't signed up. You might want to wear tennis shoes! |
